Symposia

On 7th March 2006 the Initiative Office organised Design Dialogues, a one-day symposium at RIBA, London. This was open to all members of the design community. The aims of this event were to:

~To bring the cluster activities to a public audience
~To provide a single point of dissemination for cluster information, all the clusters are committed to dissemination, but most are disseminating backwards into their respective academic domains
~To provide an opportunity for networking prior to phase 2 project call close

At the event presentations were made by 20 of the 21 research clusters. A 25-page printed proceedings booklet was given to the 140 delegates who attended the event.

Further symposia and conferences will be organised by the Initiative Office during the lifetime of the Phase 2 Research Projects. In 2009 a major conference is planned based around the research of the Phase 1 and Phase 2 research projects supported by the Initiative.
